Making your own Flower Bouquet

This week I would like to encourage you to get a little creative.

A few days ago I noticed that empty, sad looking vase standing around, so I decided to do something about it.

I left my house and made my way up town only knowing, that I want to make my first own flower bouquet.

After a stroll I ended up in Marks & Spencer aiming to buy a bunch of different flowers.

And I was successful! They had a beautiful selection of different flowers in every colour.

So after choosing on the ones I wanted, I headed back home.

After getting back home I got started straight away.

I started by unwrapping and laying out all the flowers I got on our dining table.

Then I basically started with one of each flower and added one by one to my hand until I was happy with the arrangement.

You might want to change some flowers around until you're fully satisfied with the result.

Once you think you're done arranging, cut off the end of the flowers on an angle to help them suck up water.

Please ensure to cut them all to the same length as good as possible.

I also pulled off all the leaves close to the bottom, which would end up in the water once they stand in the vase.

It might be helpful to hold the flowers together with an elastic band, so you can use both hands for the cutting.

Afterwards I took my empty vase and filled it with water.

Then I dropped my finished bouquet into the vase.

All that was left to do, was placing the vase where I thought I would look the best.

The vase ended up on my dressing table, so I would see it every morning!

I am really pleased with the outcome and I enjoyed the whole process.

I want to point out, that there really is no rules on what flowers to use or how to arrange them.

Again, it really is all about being creative and maybe creating something that brings you a little joy.

Maybe you also want to make a bouquet for someone special?
